If you need to cancel or postpone a wedding in Egypt, start with your venue contract: look for clauses on transfer, postponement, refunds and force majeure. Then ask the venue about every option before you cancel, because moving the date or passing it to another couple may be easier to agree than a refund. Get every answer in writing. If you can’t reach an agreement, Egypt’s Consumer Protection Agency takes complaints on its hotline, 19588.
